Boat hire and safety information
Deposit and return
A deposit is required for boat hire. We provide the boat clean and with a full tank, and ask that you return it in the same condition. Extra cleaning or missing fuel may be deducted from the deposit. Petrol is available at Joker Eriksholmen.
Berths
The quay in front of the cabins and apartments is reserved for our rental boats. If you or your visitors arrive with a private boat, contact us and we will find a suitable berth.
Weather and equipment
The weather can change quickly here. Speak to us and check the forecast before setting off. Respect our assessment if conditions are unsafe. Fill the tank and bring a full reserve can for emergencies. Always wear a life jacket and familiarise yourself with the local waters.
Responsibility on board
Operating our boats under the influence of alcohol is not permitted. If you have problems with the boat or the weather, use the assistance numbers listed on board. If you were born in 1980 or later, a boating licence is required for boats over 8 metres long or with engines above 25 hp. See the Norwegian Maritime Authority's rules.
Fishing and catches
Record your trips and catches as explained at handover. Release undersized fish and protected species. We want fishing to remain good for those who come after us. See current fishing rules.
