Repairs, revisions, reflections and improvements…

The title of this news post refers to a rhyme by the rather confused caretaker Gorgon in the Norwegian children's TV programme “Reparatørene kommer”, first broadcast in 1969. If you haven't seen it, consider this our recommendation!

Now for the news: we have repaired a water leak between H19 and H20. As part of the work, the internal connecting doors were removed. You can no longer walk directly between the two cabins indoors; use the front doors instead. Nothing to worry about — it's roughly twenty steps.

We have fitted controls (Shelly 1 Gen 4, for those interested) to all the heating cables in our water pipes. It makes no practical difference to your stay, but simplifies our work and saves electricity by switching the cables on and off automatically.

The front external wall of H15 had shifted a little closer to the quay than we liked, so repairs were needed.

Increased rainfall meant we had to upgrade the landing on the stairs up to L14.
